Burnley vs Wolves Matchday Stats Preview

Burnley are unbeaten in their last six home league games against Wolves (W4 D2), since a 2-1 loss in the Premier League in March 2010.

Wolves’ 1-0 win in the reverse fixture ended a seven game winless run against Burnley in the Premier League (D3 L4). They last did the league double over the Clarets in 2009-10.

Wolves have won their last two Premier League games against promoted sides, having won just one of their previous nine before this (D6 L2). Away from home they’re winless in five such games, losing 2-1 at Sheffield United last time out (D4).

Burnley have won just two of their last 17 Premier League home games (D2 L13), keeping just one clean sheet in that run. However, they did win 2-1 against Brentford last time out at Turf Moor, last winning consecutive top-flight home games in April 2022 (a run of three).

Wolves have won three of their last four midweek (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) Premier League games (L1), as many as they had in their previous 16 (D4 L9).

Burnley are unbeaten in their last three Premier League games (W1 D2), earning as many points in this run (5) as they had in their previous 11 matches combined (W1 D2 L8).

Burnley have had a league-high six red cards in the Premier League this season (players only) – the last team to have more in a single campaign were Newcastle and Aston Villa in 2014-15 (both 7).

After a run of three wins in four Premier League away games (D1), Wolves have now lost their last two on the road without scoring. Each of their last three league victories on the road have come in London, last winning outside the capital in an away match in October (2-1 v Bournemouth).

Despite only playing four home games for Burnley, David Datro Fofana is the Clarets’ top scorer in the Premier League at Turf Moor this season (3). He’s netted three of their four home goals scored in these games (75%).

Pablo Sarabia has created the most chances (46) and played the most passes into the box (145) for Wolves in the Premier League this season. Indeed, the Spaniard created five chances against Aston Villa last time out – his most in a single game in the competition.
