Luton vs Nottingham Forest Matchday Stats Preview

Luton are unbeaten in their last five league games against Nottingham Forest (W2 D3), having lost five of six against them before this (W1).

Nottingham Forest lost their last away league game against Luton 1-0 in April 2022, while they also lost on their last top-flight visit to Kenilworth Road in April 1992 (1-2).

Nottingham Forest have won just one of their last 18 Premier League games against promoted sides (D11 L6), beating Sheffield United 2-1 earlier this season. Away from home, they’ve drawn eight of their last nine such games, losing the other at Fulham last term.

Luton have lost six of their last eight Premier League home games (W2), including each of the last three in a row. They last lost more consecutive league games at Kenilworth Road in April 2015 in League Two (4), while they last did so in the top-flight in February 1984 (4).

Having scored in each of their first nine Premier League games under Nuno Espírito Santo, Nottingham Forest have lost 1-0 in both of their last two. They last went three top-flight games without a goal in April 1999.

Luton have scored in 13 of their 14 Premier League home games this season, failing only in a 1-0 loss against Tottenham in October. Only Man City, Newcastle and Tottenham (100%) have scored in a higher share of their home games this term than the Hatters (93%).

Nottingham Forest have won just two of their last 24 Premier League away games (D6 L16), winning 1-0 at Chelsea in September and 3-1 at Newcastle in December. They’ve also kept just two clean sheets in these 24 games, with both shutouts coming in London (1-0 v Chelsea, 0-0 v Crystal Palace).

Between August 2018 and April 2021, Nuno Espírito Santo only lost three consecutive Premier League games on one occasion (109 games in total). Since then, he’s done so four times (26 games), including a current run with Nottingham Forest, but has never lost four in a row in the competition.

Carlton Morris has scored in each of his last three Premier League home games for Luton. He’s been involved in four (3 goals, 1 assist) in his last four at Kenilworth Road, one more than in his first 10 at home in the competition (1 goal, 2 assists).

Chris Wood scored both of Nottingham Forest’s goals in their 2-2 draw with Luton in the reverse fixture. His next goal will be his 150th in English league football, while Forest would be the fifth team he’s scored 10+ goals with in the top four tiers (Burnley 49, Leeds 41, Leicester 14, Millwall 11).
