Bournemouth vs Luton Town Match Stats Preview

Bournemouth have won just one of their last six league games against Luton (D3 L2), beating them 2-1 at home in September 2021. This is the first ever top-flight meeting between the sides.

Luton Town have won two of their last three league games against Bournemouth (L1), as many as they had in their previous 10 (D4 L4).

Bournemouth are unbeaten in their six Premier League games against promoted sides since their return to the division last season (W4 D2), winning each of the last three in a row.

Bournemouth have earned 16 points over their last seven Premier League games (W5 D1 L1), having been winless in 13 before this (D3 L10). Since (and including) their first game in this run in October, only Liverpool (17) have earned more Premier League points than the Cherries.

Bournemouth have won 2-0 against Crystal Palace and 3-0 against Manchester United in their last two Premier League games. They last won more consecutively in August 2018 (4), while they’ve never won three in a row without conceding in the top-flight.

Luton are one of two teams yet to keep a clean sheet in the Premier League this season, along with Brighton. Only Leicester in 1994-95 (first 18) have conceded in more consecutive games from the start of the season in a maiden Premier League campaign than the Hatters (16).

Luton are the only team yet to either score or concede a goal in opening 15 minutes of Premier League games this season. Only Crystal Palace (3) have scored fewer goals before half-time than the Hatters (4), while they’ve conceded the lowest share of their goals in the first half so far (25% - 8/32).

Bournemouth’s Dominic Solanke has scored four goals in his last five Premier League games and is enjoying his best scoring season overall in the competition with eight goals. However, he’s never scored in consecutive top-flight appearances before.

Elijah Adebayo is Luton’s top scorer in the Premier League this season with four goals, and is looking to become the first player to score in three consecutive top-flight games for the Hatters since Mick Harford in April 1992.

Only Kieran Trippier (41) has played more successful crosses (including corners) than Luton’s Alfie Doughty (30) in the Premier League this season. 22 of these have led directly to a shot for Luton (3 goals), with only Trippier again creating more chances with his crosses (25).
